Job description

HarborView Community Services is actively seeking a compassionate Social Worker to join our Seattle-based team. This role focuses on empowering individuals and families through comprehensive assessments, advocacy, and collaborative care planning. Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' needs, risks, strengths, and environmental factors to inform service planning.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor person-centered, culturally responsive service plans in collaboration with clients and families.
  • Provide individual counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals to behavioral health, housing, and social services as needed.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, community partners, and vendors to ensure timely access to resources.
  • Advocate for clients' access to benefits, housing subsidies, healthcare, and educational opportunities while supporting self-empowerment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the case management system and ensure compliance with policies, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision, quality improvement activities, and program development to enhance service delivery.

Qualification

  • MSW preferred; BSW considered with strong relevant experience; active licensure in Washington state (LCSW or LISW highly valued) or eligibility.
  • Minimum 2 years of post-graduate experience in community-based social work or related settings.
  • Strong assessment, counseling, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, cultural humility, and client-centered advocacy abilities.
  • Proficiency with case management software and electronic records; solid organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
