EdgePeak Sports Management is seeking a results-driven Sports Operations Manager in Houston, TX to lead day-to-day operations across events, partnerships, and athlete services. You will drive operational excellence, ensure exceptional fan experiences, and scale our growing sports portfolio.
In this role, you will partner with event organizers, venue operators, and marketing teams to streamline logistics, optimize budgets, and elevate the overall performance of our teams and clients.
Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end operations for multiple sport programs and events, from planning to execution.
- Develop scalable processes for scheduling, transportation, venue management, and vendor onboarding.
- Collaborate with marketing, sponsorship, and client services to deliver premier fan experiences.
- Oversee budget controls, forecasting, and cost optimization across events and programs.
- Manage relationships with venues, vendors, teams, and athletes; ensure compliance with governing bodies.
- Implement data-driven performance metrics and post-event analyses to drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate risk management, safety protocols, and incident response plans.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business, or related field; masters preferred.
- 5+ years of operations, event, or athlete services experience in professional sports.
- Proven budget management and vendor negotiation skills.
- Strong project management, cross-functional leadership, and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with sponsorship activation, CRM systems, and data analytics tools.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with strong attention to detail.
- Travel flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and game days.
