Join a leading professional sports organization in Los Angeles as a Sports Operations Manager. You will oversee day-to-day venue operations, event logistics, and fan experience across home games and partner events. This role blends strategic planning with hands-on execution, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
In this role, you will partner with operations, security, venue services, marketing, and sponsorship teams to deliver seamless game-day experiences that meet league standards and exceed fan expectations.
Responsibility
- Plan and manage pre-event logistics for all home games and partner events, including staffing, transportation, and vendor coordination.
- Lead on-site operations during events, ensuring smooth venue flow, security, concessions, and guest services.
- Collaborate with teams, sponsors, and broadcast partners to deliver premier fan experiences and sponsor activations.
- Develop and manage budgets, timelines, and risk assessments; monitor KPIs and post-event debriefs.
- Ensure compliance with league policies, safety protocols, and regional regulations.
- Oversee ticketing, access control, and CRM data integrity for enhanced fan engagement.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performance operations team; optimize staffing and resource allocation.
- Drive process improvements through data analytics and cross-functional projects.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of operations, event management, or venue operations experience in professional sports or live events.
- Proven leadership and team management skills; ability to motivate diverse teams under high-pressure conditions.
- Strong knowledge of venue operations, safety, security, and emergency response protocols.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor management; proficiency in ERP/CRM systems and ticketing platforms.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
