Join a leading professional sports organization based in New York City. We are seeking a dynamic Sports Partnerships Manager to lead sponsor activations, partner relations, and revenue growth across properties and events. This role blends sales, marketing, and operations to create premium fan experiences and measurable outcomes for sponsors and the organization.
As part of the Marketing & Partnerships team, you will collaborate with franchise partners, venues, media agencies, and internal stakeholders to design and execute high-impact activation programs that drive fan engagement and ROI.
Responsibility
- Lead development and execution of sponsor activation plans across properties, venues, and digital platforms.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with sponsors, agencies, and media partners to maximize value and renewal rates.
- Collaborate with marketing, analytics, and creative teams to deliver data-driven campaigns and ROI reporting.
- Plan, negotiate, and manage event activations, hospitality, and experiential programs.
- Oversee sponsorship budgets, forecasting, and comprehensive post-event recaps.
- Develop compelling proposals, decks, and sponsor communications to secure new partnerships.
- Manage athlete relations programs, appearances, endorsements, and community initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends to identify opportunities for innovative activations and revenue growth.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sports marketing, sponsorships, or partnerships, preferably in professional sports.
- Proven track record of leading sponsorship activations and delivering measurable ROI.
- Strong negotiation, proposal development, and presentation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, marketing automation, and analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, Google Analytics).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with tight deadlines; travel as needed.
- Knowledge of rights holder operations, league policies, and event production processes.
