As a key member of the analytics team, you will translate complex data into actionable strategies that directly influence game-day decisions and long-term player development.
Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain performance analytics dashboards for players, coaches, and staff.
- Collaborate with coaching, medical, and strength & conditioning teams to translate data into actionable insights.
- Perform statistical analyses and build predictive models to optimize training loads, recovery, and injury risk management.
- Manage data pipelines, ensure data quality, and implement ETL processes from multiple data sources including wearable devices and video analytics.
- Present findings with clear visualizations to stakeholders, including executive leadership and coaching staff.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and produce regular performance briefs and impact assessments.
- Mentor junior analysts and promote data literacy across the organization.
- Collaborate with IT and external partners to optimize analytics infrastructure and tooling.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science); advanced degree preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on sports analytics or related experience in a professional environment.
- Proficiency in SQL; strong experience with Python or R for data analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and storytelling with data.
- Familiarity with wearable data, GPS tracking, player monitoring metrics, and video data integration.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytics into actionable insights for coaches and executives.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and experience building predictive models is a plus.
