Make an impact as an EHS leader in healthcare. Tan Tock Seng Hospital is seeking a Sr Asst Manager, EHS to drive safety, health, and environmental excellence across our facilities in Singapore. You will champion a robust EHS program that protects staff, patients, and visitors while supporting the hospital's mission to deliver compassionate and safe care. This role places you at the heart of clinical operations and facilities management, where proactive safety practices translate into better patient outcomes, higher staff morale, and fewer disruptions. You will partner with clinical leaders, engineers, and support teams to integrate risk controls into daily workflows, daily rounds, infection control measures, and capital projects. As part of our safety leadership team, you will develop and implement policies, SOPs, and comprehensive risk assessments across departments. You will lead incident investigations, performing root cause analyses and driving corrective actions to prevent recurrence. You will coordinate mandatory EHS training, safety drills, and ongoing safety communications, while promoting a proactive safety culture with measurable improvements. You will also monitor environmental and occupational health metrics, manage PPE programs, hazardous materials handling, and waste management, ensuring compliance with local and international guidelines.

Responsibility
- Lead hospital-wide EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance and a safe environment for staff, patients, and visitors.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, SOPs, and risk assessments across departments.
- Oversee incident investigations and root cause analyses, driving corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate EHS training, safety drills, and safety culture initiatives across the Organization.
- Monitor performance metrics, prepare leadership dashboards, and report on safety and environmental outcomes.
- Manage hazardous materials, waste management, chemical safety, and PPE programs.
- Collaborate with clinical, facilities, and operations teams to integrate safety into daily hospital workflows and projects.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors; support inspections and compliance reporting.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional EHS certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP) or equivalent; active membership with local bodies preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive EHS experience, preferably in healthcare or large facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore regulatory requirements (WSH Act, healthcare standards) and best practices.
- Demonstrated leadership, project management, and ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication, training, incident investigation, and data analytics skills.
- Proficiency with EHS software, incident reporting tools, and Microsoft Office; ability to generate reports and dashboards.
- Willingness to work in a hospital environment with flexible hours and on-call availability.
