Responsibility
- Prepare comprehensive and detailed electrical construction cost estimates and take-offs for multiple projects.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Request and evaluate RFQs, vendor pricing, subcontractor quotes, and supplier bids to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams throughout the pre-construction and construction process.
- Create bid packages and submit competitive bids for new construction projects and renovations.
- Develop and manage change orders in response to project scope adjustments.
- Maintain positive relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Assist with value engineering and provide input to improve project cost efficiency.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction estimating for commercial or retail projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction processes.
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficiency in estimation software (such as PlanSwift, Accubid, or similar) and MS Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
