As a Staff Mechanical Engineer, you will apply best practices in preventive and predictive maintenance, manage maintenance schedules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and extend asset life. You will diagnose mechanical faults, plan root-cause analysis, specify replacement parts, and participate in equipment upgrades and projects. Responsibility
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance plans for all mechanical equipment to maximize uptime and reliability.
- Diagnose mechanical faults, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate timely repairs with the maintenance team.
- Plan and oversee maintenance schedules, spare parts inventory, and budget tracking for the plant's mechanical assets.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning, and upgrades, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA teams to optimize process performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
- Review and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintenance manuals; mentor junior technicians.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and rotating equipment.
- Experience with reliability engineering tools, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and basic PLC understanding is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings, interpret manuals, and work with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
