We are seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist to oversee daily operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide exceptional patient counseling.
Responsibility
- Provide accurate prescription dispensing and medication counseling to patients.
- Review and verify prescriptions for safety, interactions, allergies, and dosing accuracy.
- Lead daily pharmacy operations, including inventory management, workflow optimization, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and resolve drug-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and controlled substances management.
- Provide clinical services such as MTM (Medication Therapy Management) and immunization administration (where licensed).
- Mentor and train pharmacy technicians, students, and associates to maintain high-performance standards.
- Participate in formulary management and pharmacoeconomic initiatives to optimize cost-effective therapy.
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent; active Pharmacist license in Arizona or eligible for licensure.
- Minimum 3 years of clinical or community pharmacy experience.
- Strong clinical knowledge in drugs, interactions, adverse effects, and pharmacology.
- Excellent communication, empathy, and patient counseling skills.
- Proficient with pharmacy software systems and e-prescribing; ability to adapt to new technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development; BPS board certification is a plus.
- Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory standards and safety protocols.
