Join a patient-centered pharmacy team in the heart of New York City. We are seeking a licensed Staff Pharmacist to ensure safe, effective medication management and superior patient care.
In this role, you will dispense medications accurately, counsel patients on therapy, collaborate with physicians and insurers, and lead a small team of technicians to optimize workflow while maintaining compliance with all regulations.
Responsibility
- Ensure accurate dispensing, labeling, and verification of prescriptions.
- Provide comprehensive medication counseling and adherence support to patients.
- Manage daily pharmacy operations and supervise technicians.
- Review medications for safety, interactions, and contraindications.
- Maintain controlled substance records and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in formulary management and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
Qualification
- DPharm or PharmD from an accredited program; NY license or eligibility.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical or retail pharmacy experience.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and patient service skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and EHRs.
- Detail-oriented with strong ethical standards and compliance mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
