NovaRx Health is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our clinical pharmacy team in New York City. Responsibility
- Provide pharmacotherapy consultations and medication therapy management for complex patients.
- Verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and ensure safe and effective drug use.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize treatment plans.
- Monitor for drug interactions, contraindications, and adverse events; implement safety protocols.
- Manage formulary compliance, inventory, and medication procurement in partnership with operations.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and supervise pharmacy technicians to maintain efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR and support medication reconciliation efforts.
Qualification
- PharmD degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Active New York State Pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure.
- Minimum 2-5 years of clinical pharmacy experience in hospital or outpatient settings.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy guidelines and drug safety.
- Excellent patient counseling, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency with EHR systems (eg, Epic, Cerner) and PBM processes.
- Detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset with strong time management.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including occasional evenings or weekends if needed.
