Join Aurora Studio NYC, a premium photography studio serving fashion, beauty, and commercial clients in the New York area. We are seeking a dedicated Staff Photographer to bring creative vision to life and deliver exceptional imagery across a range of projects.
As a full-time member of our team, you will shoot both on location and in our studio, collaborate with art directors, stylists, and clients, and contribute to every stage of production from concept through final retouching. Responsibility
- Collaborate on fashion, portrait, and commercial shoots in studio and on location to deliver on-brand imagery.
- Plan and execute lighting setups, grip and camera systems, and creative compositions.
- Direct models and subjects to achieve authentic expressions and dynamic poses.
- Coordinate with art directors, stylists, and clients to align on concepts and deliverables.
- Process RAW files and perform color grading in Lightroom and Photoshop to meet brand standards.
- Deliver high-quality retouched images within project timelines and required specs.
- Maintain and organize gear, studio space, and inventory; ensure safety and readiness for shoots.
Qualification
- 3+ years of professional photography experience with a strong portfolio across fashion, beauty, portrait, or product work.
- Proficiency with studio lighting, portable lighting, modifiers, and camera systems; comfortable shooting on location.
- Expert in RAW processing and editing with Lightroom and Photoshop; basic color grading and retouching skills; familiarity with Capture One a plus.
- Strong art direction, collaboration, and communication skills; ability to take direction and contribute ideas.
- Excellent time management and ability to meet tight deadlines across multiple projects.
- Knowledge of branding guidelines, color management, and deliverables for various channels.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable with a positive, team-focused attitude.
