Lumen Arts Collective is seeking an experienced Stage Manager to lead live theatre, dance, and multidisciplinary performances in New York City. The ideal candidate will bring calm under pressure, exceptional organizational skills, and a collaborative spirit to coordinate rehearsals, cueing, and on-stage operations from first rehearsal to final performance.

Responsibility
- Lead on-stage operations for rehearsals and performances, ensuring precise timing and cues.
- Develop and maintain production calendars, run sheets, and cue sheets.
- Coordinate with directors, designers, stage crew, and technicians to execute productions seamlessly.
- Manage props, set changes, fly systems, and backstage safety protocols.
- Oversee call times, show reports, and contingency planning for all shows.
- Troubleshoot technical issues during rehearsals and live performances with calm, creative problem-solving.
- Supervise interns and assistant stage managers, providing mentorship and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and union/production guidelines.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in theatre, performing arts, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of stage management experience in live theatre or performing arts productions.
- Proven ability to lead crews, manage tight schedules, and communicate clearly under pressure.
- Proficiency with stage management software and basic technical literacy in lighting and sound.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with diverse teams and artists.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and during tech rehearsals as productions require.
