Join Nova Arts NYC, a premier theatre company in the heart of Manhattan, as a Stage Manager. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead backstage operations for high-caliber productions from rehearsals to premiere nights. You will act as the central hub for communication, safety, and show control, ensuring a seamless experience for cast, crew, and audience.

Responsibility
- Develop and manage rehearsal and production schedules, call sheets, and show calendars.
- Serve as primary liaison among cast, creative team, stage crew, and technical departments.
- Prepare and maintain the prompt book, cue sheets, and safety protocols.
- Cue and coordinate lighting, sound, and video cues during rehearsals and performances.
- Coordinate entrances, exits, prop handling, and scene changes with stage crew.
- Oversee on-call crew, running crew, and understudy rehearsals; manage understudies as needed.
- Document show reports, incidents, and notes; facilitate post-show debriefs for continuous improvement.
Qualification
- 3+ years of stage management experience in professional theatre.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with cueing software (QLab, ETC) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work flexible evenings, weekends, and opening nights; calm under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures, risk assessment, and emergency protocols.
- Experience maintaining prompt books, show logs, and technical documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Production, or related field preferred.
