CityLights Theatre Company is seeking a dynamic Stage Manager to lead production execution from rehearsals to opening night and beyond. This is a full-time role in a fast-paced urban theatre environment. The ideal candidate combines meticulous organization with creative collaboration to bring powerful live performances to life.
As Stage Manager, you will oversee show calling, cueing, backstage coordination, and on-site safety, ensuring productions run smoothly from curtain up to curtain down.

Responsibility
- Lead all stage management activities from rehearsals through final performance, including call times and cueing.
- Create and maintain production calendars, prompt books, shift notes, and communication plans.
- Coordinate with directors, designers, and technical crews to ensure timely and safe productions.
- Call cues accurately during all performances; manage backstage flow and timing.
- Oversee safety, equipment, and compliance with venue policies and union guidelines.
- Manage cast and crew schedules, track absences, and coordinate replacements as needed.
- Collaborate with front-of-house and production teams for seamless audience experience.
- Lead post-show wrap, including reports, inventory, and debrief notes.
Qualification
- Minimum 2-3 years of professional stage management experience in theatre or equivalent.
- Proficiency with cueing systems (QLab/ETC), sound and lighting, and script supervision.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities; thrives under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong collaboration skills across departments.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and tech weeks as productions require.
- Bachelor's degree in Theater Arts or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience considered.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, emergency procedures, and venue operations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
