Grow with Robinsons Supermarket as a Store Expansion Officer focused on site acquisition across Visayas and Mindanao. This pivotal role drives the growth of our store network by identifying and securing prime retail locations that align with our brand standards and long-term strategy. You will lead the end-to-end site acquisition process, from market mapping and site sourcing to lease negotiations and deal closure, ensuring timely openings that enhance guest experiences and store performance.
In this role, you will collaborate with real estate, operations, legal, and finance teams to build a strong pipeline of viable sites. You will perform rigorous market research, site feasibility analyses, and competitive benchmarking to inform strategic decisions. Your ability to negotiate favorable terms, manage relationships with landowners, brokers, and local authorities, and coordinate cross-functional efforts will be critical to delivering successful store openings across the region. The position requires regional travel and strong project management to balance multiple opportunities while upholding Robinsons Supermarket brand and compliance standards.
Responsibility
- Source and evaluate high-potential retail sites across Visayas and Mindanao that fit the company growth plan and brand criteria.
- Manage end-to-end site acquisition processes including market mapping, site analysis, due diligence, lease negotiations, and deal closures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, developers, brokers, local authorities, and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct market research, traffic and demographic analyses, and competitive benchmarking to support site recommendations.
- Prepare feasibility studies and business cases to secure leadership approval for site acquisitions.
- Coordinate with Real Estate, Legal, Operations, and Finance to facilitate timely store openings and onboarding of new sites.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective sites and provide regular status updates and forecasts to management.
- Travel regionally to scout sites, negotiate terms, and monitor market trends across Visayas and Mindanao.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in site acquisition, retail expansion, or real estate development, preferably in the Philippine market.
- Strong negotiation, networking, and relationship-management skills.
- Solid ability to analyze market data, prepare feasibility studies, and assess profitability for new stores.
- Knowledge of lease agreements, zoning, regulatory requirements, and local permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent in English; Filipino proficiency is a plus.
- Ability to travel regionally and manage multiple deals/campaigns concurrently with strong organization and time-management skills.
- Proactive, results-driven, and capable of working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
