Schroder Investment Management is excited to invite motivated students to join our Private Equity Investment team in Singapore as Student Trainees. This structured program runs from June to December and offers practical exposure to real-world private equity investing, including deal assessment, market research, financial analysis, and portfolio monitoring.
As a Student Trainee, you will work closely with senior investment professionals, supporting the deal lifecycle from origination through due diligence to post-investment monitoring. You will develop core technical skills while gaining insight into how leading private equity teams source opportunities, evaluate businesses, build financial models, and prepare investment materials.

Responsibility
- Assist senior associates in evaluating potential private equity opportunities, including market and financial analysis.
- Help build financial models, valuation analyses, and investment memos.
- Conduct industry and company research, collect data, benchmarks and competitive landscape.
- Support due diligence processes by gathering information and coordinating data rooms.
- Assist in portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and reporting support.
- Prepare materials for investment committee and internal review.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including legal, compliance, and operations.
- Attend meetings and participate in deal flow activities.
Qualification
- Current undergraduate or master's student in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills; familiarity with financial modeling.
- Interest in private equity, venture capital, or investment management.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in Singapore and handle tasks with discretion.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
