As a Surveyor, you will contribute to boundary surveys, topographic data collection, staking, and data management across multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Responsibility
- Perform field data collection using total stations, GNSS receivers, levels, and related equipment to support boundary, topographic, and construction projects.
- Prepare and verify field notes, stakeout data, plats, and maps; ensure data integrity and QA/QC compliance.
- Interpret plans and specifications; translate them into precise survey measurements and layouts for construction teams.
- Establish and maintain control networks; monitor network adjustments and accuracy.
- Prepare as-built surveys, progress reports, and final deliverables for clients and agencies.
- Collaborate with engineers, CAD technicians, and GIS specialists to integrate survey data into BIM and GIS workflows.
- Maintain equipment calibration, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance; participate in safety briefings and site inductions.
- Provide mentorship to junior staff and contribute to proposal development and client communications.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Current Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain licensure in Colorado within a defined period.
- Experience with total stations, GNSS, data collectors, CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong knowledge of surveying math, error analysis, coordinate systems, and mapping standards.
- Familiarity with local surveying regulations, safety standards, and construction staking practices.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
- Ability to work in varied outdoor conditions and manage field crews when needed; valid driver's license.
