Responsibility
- Perform field data collection using total stations, GNSS receivers, and level instruments with a focus on accuracy and safety.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate surveying instruments in accordance with project plans and standards.
- Conduct boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys as directed by licensed surveyors.
- Record field notes, manage data collection, and prepare preliminary measurement reports for office teams.
- Assist with QA/QC of collected data and ensure compliance with project specs and safety protocols.
- Assist with site reconnaissance, aerial imagery interpretation, and GIS data integration as needed.
- Collaborate with engineers, GIS specialists, and field crews to meet project milestones.
- Maintain equipment, protect field assets, and adhere to company safety policies.
Qualification
- Diploma or Associate degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
- 1–4 years of field surveying experience; internship accepted for internship position.
- Proficiency with total stations, GNSS, data collectors, and basic CAD/GIS workflows.
- Licensing or certification such as LSIT, STM or PLS is a plus; valid driver's license required.
- Strong math skills, attention to detail, and ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lift equipment, stand, and walk long distances; willingness to travel as needed.
