Team Leader (Business Manager) â Temanggung
Amartha, a leading fintech company dedicated to empowering micro-entrepreneurs across Indonesia, is seeking a resultâdriven Team Leader to oversee the Temanggung region on a contractual basis. In this role, you will blend handsâon leadership with strategic business management to deliver outstanding service, grow the local portfolio, and strengthen financial inclusion.
As the Team Leader, you will manage a dynamic regional team, set performance targets, coach team members, and ensure the highest standards of customer experience and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with crossâfunctional teams including product, risk, and operations to optimize processes, mitigate risk, and translate business plans into measurable results. You will also play a pivotal role in talent development, succession planning, and maintaining a positive, highâperforming work culture.
Key outcomes include achieving sales and service targets, maintaining rigorous KYC/AML controls, fostering strong relationships with microâentrepreneurs and local merchants, and delivering timely regional reporting to senior management. Responsibility
- Lead and develop the Temanggung regional team to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional service.
- Oversee client onboarding, due diligence, and KYC/AML compliance to protect customers and the company.
- Monitor KPIs, provide coaching, and implement continuous improvement programs to boost productivity and quality.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with microâentrepreneurs, merchants, and local partners to expand Amartha's reach.
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, and Operations to optimize processes, reduce bottlenecks, and improve risk controls.
- Prepare and present regional performance reports to senior leadership; assist with budgeting and resource planning.
- Model and promote a culture of integrity, learning, and accountability within the team.
Qualification
- Bachelorâs degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in team leadership within banking, financial services, or fintech, preferably in regional or field roles.
- Strong knowledge of KYC/AML regulations, anti-fraud controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and people leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate teams.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics, generate insights, and present actionable recommendations; proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Fluency in Indonesian; English proficiency is a plus; willingness to travel within the region.
- High integrity, adaptability, and a customer-centric mindset with a focus on operational excellence.
