Job description
ST Engineering is seeking a results-driven Technical Pre-Sale Executive to accelerate adoption of Public Safety Solutions (PSS) across Singapore's government, law enforcement, and emergency services sectors. This role blends deep technical knowledge with strategic sales acumen to understand client needs, translate them into compelling value propositions, and shepherd complex solutions from concept to close. You will be at the core of a cross-functional GTM team, bridging the gap between customer requirements and the capabilities of ST Engineering's PSS portfolio.
As a key member of the pre-sales team, you will collaborate with account executives, product managers, and engineering to craft tailored demonstrations, respond to RFPs, and articulate how our PSS offerings improve mission outcomes, reduce operational risk, and deliver measurable return on investment. You will lead technical engagements, run POCs, and ensure delivery teams have a clear, customer-ready specification to win competitive deals. Your ability to translate technical detail into business value will be critical when engaging senior officials and frontline operators alike.

Responsibility
- Lead discovery sessions with government and public safety customers to qualify requirements and shape winning PSS proposals.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations and tailored Proofs of Concept (POCs) that validate value and ROI.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Delivery teams to design robust solutions that meet regulatory, security, and interoperability standards.
- Respond to RFPs and tender requests with clear, technically accurate, and competitively differentiated proposals.
- Develop competitive landscape analyses and win themes to differentiate ST Engineering's PSS offerings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ST Engineering PSS products, roadmaps, and competitor offerings.
- Build strong relationships with key public sector stakeholders, partners, and system integrators to expand the pipeline.
- Track progress against opportunities, forecast accurately, and support negotiations to close high-value deals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, or sales engineering with public sector experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of public safety systems, including communications, command-and-control, surveillance, and security concepts.
- Proven experience with RFPs, tender processes, and government procurement in Singapore or APAC regions.
- Exceptional presentation, demonstration, and proposal-writing skills; ability to translate complex tech into business value.
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, comfortable working with diverse stakeholders across sales, product, and delivery.
- Willingness to travel within Singapore and related to public sector work; eligible to work in Singapore.
