Job description

Join Ideals Recruitment as a Technician in the hospitality sector, based in the Central Region. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of SGD 2,500 to SGD 3,000 per month, with shift allowances, annual wage supplement (AWS), and variable bonuses (VB). You will support maintenance and operations across our facilities, helping create seamless guest experiences.

In this role, you will perform routine inspections, diagnose malfunctions, and carry out preventive maintenance on a range of equipment and systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components. You will document work performed, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with engineering, procurement, and front-of-house teams to coordinate repairs and upgrades.

Typical responsibilities include responding to equipment breakdowns during your shift, implementing corrective actions, and coordinating with external vendors when specialized services are required. You will also assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, maintain spare parts inventory, and contribute to safety and quality compliance across all facilities.

Responsibility

  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on hospitality facilities and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues; perform repairs.
  • Calibrate and adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
  • Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns during scheduled shifts; escalate when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and inventory of spare parts.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to plan and execute repairs.
  • Enforce safety and sanitation standards; ensure compliance with SOPs and local regulations.
  • Assist in installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.

Qualification

  • Diploma or certificate in electrical/mechanical engineering, facility management, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience in facilities maintenance, hotel, or hospitality environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints; proficient with diagnostic tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and teamwork skills.
  • Safety-conscious with familiarity with electrical safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to work with multiple teams.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
