Join PERSOL as a Tester Technician (High Voltage) and play a crucial role in validating electrical systems used in industrial and infrastructure projects. This contract opportunity is based in the East Region and offers up to SGD 3,600 per month for candidates with relevant HV testing experience, plus a shift allowance for night shifts.
In this hands-on role you will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the safety, reliability and performance of high voltage equipment. You’ll set up test rigs, perform HV tests, collect data, and help drive continuous improvements in our testing procedures and quality standards.

As part of our HV test team, you will adhere to safety standards and maintain meticulous records of all tests. You will collaborate with electrical engineers to interpret results, troubleshoot anomalies, and prepare test reports that influence product acceptance and quality improvements.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on HV testing experience, a strong understanding of electrical safety, and the ability to work independently in a lab environment as well as in on-site settings when required.
Responsibility
- Conduct high voltage electrical tests and validations on components and systems in accordance with test procedures and safety standards.
- Set up and calibrate test rigs, instruments and fault simulators to ensure accurate data collection.
- Record, analyze and document test results; prepare clear test reports for engineering review.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment to maintain reliability and accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electrical codes and company quality standards during all tests and activities.
- Assist with installation, wiring checks and HV testing in controlled lab and on-site environments as required.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by contributing to test procedures, checklists and best practices.
Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience with high voltage testing, insulation resistance, hipot testing or related HV equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards and lab safety practices; familiarity with IEC/IEEE standards is a plus.
- Proficiency with test instruments (multimeters, hipot testers, insulation testers, data loggers) and calibration procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and test procedures.
- Excellent documentation, data recording and reporting skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to troubleshoot issues under pressure.
- Willingness to work night shifts with applicable shift allowance and maintain high safety standards.
