Join Aurora Stage Collective, a premier NYC theatre company producing bold, contemporary performances. We are seeking a Theater Production Manager to oversee all aspects of our season from pre-production planning through final performance.
In this role, you will collaborate with directors, designers, production staff, and venue partners to ensure artistic vision is realized on budget and on schedule. The ideal candidate balances creative energy with meticulous operational discipline.
Responsibilities include managing production calendars, budgets, crew assignments, safety protocols, vendor relationships, and on-site logistics across rehearsal and performance spaces.

Responsibility
- Develop and manage production calendars, timelines, and milestone tracking for all shows in the season.
- Oversee budgeting, procurement, vendor contracts, and cost control to meet financial targets.
- Coordinate with directors, designers, stage management, and venues to ensure seamless rehearsals and performances.
- Supervise on-site operations, safety protocols, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
- Lead technical rehearsals, cueing, and run of show execution with precision.
- Recruit, train, and manage production staff and freelance crews.
- Liaise with venues, unions, and licensing authorities as needed.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in theatre, arts management, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of production management, stage management, or related experience in live theatre.
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and vendor negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building abilities.
- Proficiency with production software, MS Office, project management tools, and basic sound/lighting knowledge.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel to multiple venues as needed.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA-like standards, and risk assessment practices.
