Job description

Marquee Theatre Collective is seeking an experienced Theater Production Manager to lead all aspects of theatrical productions in our New York venue. This full-time role requires a dynamic leader who can manage complex schedules, budgets, and teams while upholding artistic integrity.

Responsibility

  • Oversee production planning from pre-production through strike, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Coordinate with directors, designers, cast, and crew to ensure timely cueing and technical execution.
  • Lead stage management workflow, call scripts, rehearsal logistics, and show communication plans.
  • Manage production staff and volunteers; enforce safety, compliance, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with venue management, vendors, and unions to secure services and equipment.
  • Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and prepare production reports for leadership.
  • Maintain comprehensive production documentation, calendars, and progress updates for stakeholders.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Theater Arts, Production, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of production or stage management experience in theater or live performance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to guide diverse teams.
  • Proficiency with production software and systems; familiarity with lighting and sound operations is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and tech weeks.
