UrbanStage Theatre Collective is seeking a dynamic Theatre Marketing & Audience Engagement Manager to spearhead our campaigns in New York City. This full-time role blends creative storytelling with data-driven strategy to maximize ticket sales, subscriptions, and attendance across our season.
Key responsibilities include:
Responsibility
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and community channels to grow audience reach and ticket sales.
- Lead audience engagement initiatives, including email marketing, social media, content creation, and experiential events.
- Collaborate with artistic leadership to ensure consistent branding, voice, and messaging across all communications.
- Oversee marketing budget, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and campaign tracking.
- Analyze performance data, generate insights, and report KPIs to leadership; test and optimize campaigns.
- Partner with development and fundraising teams to support sponsorships and audience development initiatives.
- Coordinate front-of-house and special events to enhance patron experiences and community presence.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Theatre, Communications, or related field
- 3-5+ years of theatre or performing arts marketing experience
- Proven success in digital marketing, social media, email campaigns, and content creation
- Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and budgeting skills
- Experience with CRM and ticketing platforms (e.g., Tessitura, AudienceView, or similar)
- Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze metrics and optimize campaigns
- Passion for theatre and commitment to audience diversity and accessibility
