Stellar Stage Productions invites applications for a Theatre Production Manager in New York City. This role leads all operational aspects of our live productions, from initial concept through final performance.

Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end production planning, scheduling, and on-site execution for all theatre productions.
- Develop and manage production budgets, forecasts, and cost controls; track expenditures and optimize spend.
- Coordinate with directors, designers, casting, and stage managers to ensure artistic vision is realized.
- Lead vendor sourcing, contract negotiations, and relationship management with venues, equipment suppliers, and crews.
- Creates and maintains production calendars, call sheets, and safety protocols; ensure compliance with union and venue requirements.
- Supervise technical crews during rehearsals and performances, ensuring smooth cueing and transitions.
- Mitigate risks, troubleshoot on the fly, and implement contingency plans to protect show quality.
- Collaborate with marketing and front-of-house teams to ensure audiences have an exceptional experience.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Theatre Production, Stage Management, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years in theatre production or stage management, with proven budget and team leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of technical theatre, lighting, sound, rigging, and safety standards.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously.
- Experience negotiating with vendors, managing contracts, and coordinating with unions.
- Proficiency with production management software and Microsoft Office; familiarity with QLab or other cueing systems is a plus.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends as productions demand.
