Responsibility
- Deliver high-quality lectures and seminars for undergraduate and graduate theology courses.
- Develop, update, and assess course syllabi, learning objectives, and assessments.
- Supervise and mentor student research, senior theses, and capstone projects.
- Lead engaging discussions, office hours, and study groups to support diverse learners.
- Conduct original research, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and present at conferences.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, program assessment, and articulation of learning outcomes.
- Participate in service to the department, faculty governance, and community outreach initiatives.
- Contribute to the institutional mission by promoting inclusive excellence and ethical inquiry.
Qualification
- PhD in Theology, Religious Studies, or a closely related field; ABD candidates with expected completion will be considered.
- Proven teaching experience across a range of theology courses (e.g., Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology, Ethics) and a demonstrated ability to engage diverse student populations.
- Strong scholarly record with publications, presentations, or funded research relevant to theological studies.
- Experience advising undergraduate and graduate students and supervising research projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly to varied audiences.
- Commitment to inclusive pedagogy, equity, and the integration of faith, ethics, and social engagement in the classroom.
- Proficiency with online teaching tools and curriculum design, plus experience with assessment and accreditation processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a collegial, faith-informed academic community.
