Aurora College of Theology invites applications for a full-time Theology Professor position to begin in Fall 2026. The college is dedicated to rigorous scholarship, spiritual formation, and community engagement. The successful candidate will teach courses in Systematic Theology, Biblical Studies, and Ethics; mentor students; contribute to program development; and participate in scholarly research and university service. A strong commitment to inclusive pedagogy, mentorship of diverse student populations, and collaborative work with faculty across disciplines is essential.

Responsibility
- Teach undergraduate and graduate theology courses, including core seminars and elective offerings.
- Develop and revise curricula to align with program outcomes and accreditation standards.
- Supervise theses, capstone projects, and independent studies; mentor student research and ethical formation.
- Lead seminars and workshops on contemporary theological questions and interdisciplinary topics.
- Engage in scholarly research and publish in peer-reviewed venues; present at scholarly conferences.
- Collaborate with faculty on cross-disciplinary initiatives (ethics, religious studies, social justice).
- Provide academic advising, spiritual formation guidance, and career development for students.
- Contribute to service duties including committee work, accreditation processes, and community outreach.
Qualification
- Terminal degree in Theology or a closely related field (PhD or ThD) from an accredited institution by start date.
- Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching and curriculum development.
- Strong record of scholarly publication and active research agenda in theology or related fields.
- Ability to teach a diverse student body and cultivate inclusive learning environments.
- Experience supervising graduate theses and mentoring student research.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficient with academic technology and online learning platforms.
- Commitment to community engagement, ecumenical dialogue, and interfaith understanding.
- Evidence of professional service and collegial collaboration with faculty and staff.
