Join CityPath Tours as a professional Tour Guide in Barcelona. You will lead engaging walking tours, share compelling stories, and ensure guest safety and satisfaction. This role is ideal for bilingual or multilingual guides who are passionate about art, history, and cultural immersion.
As a Tour Guide, you will bring Barcelona’s iconic neighborhoods to life—exploring Gothic Quarter, Antoni Gaudí masterpieces, and local markets—while delivering a premium guest experience. You’ll collaborate with local partners to create memorable itineraries and be the face of our brand’s commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibility
- Lead engaging walking tours in Barcelona for groups of varied sizes, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Deliver accurate, entertaining narratives about history, architecture, art, and local culture.
- Adapt content for diverse audiences, including families, students, and corporate groups.
- Coordinate logistics, timing, and group movements; manage crowd control as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service, answer questions, and resolve issues promptly.
- Build relationships with local partners (museums, restaurants) to offer integrated experiences.
- Maintain tour materials, equipment, and safety protocols; report incidents as required.
- Uphold brand standards and assist in promoting upcoming tours and events.
Qualification
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish and/or Catalan is highly preferred.
- Prior experience as a tour guide, student guide, or customer-facing role.
- Excellent public speaking, storytelling, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong knowledge of Barcelona history, architecture, art, and local culture.
- Ability to manage groups, handle time-sensitive itineraries, and adapt on the fly.
- Availability for weekends, evenings, and peak tourist seasons; flexible schedule required.
- Legal right to work in Spain and full compliance with local safety regulations.
