GlobeWalk Tours Ltd is seeking a dynamic and personable Tour Guide to lead London-based experiences for visitors from around the world. As a frontline ambassador for our brand, you will bring history to life with engaging storytelling, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure safe, memorable experiences. This full-time role involves leading urban walking tours, family-friendly routes, and curated specialty itineraries. You will adapt content and pacing to match group interests and weather, while coordinating with operations to ensure smooth logistics.
What you’ll do
- Lead engaging walking tours for individuals and groups, delivering accurate historical context and vivid stories.
- Plan and adapt itineraries in real time to match guest interests, weather, and pace.
- Present information clearly to diverse audiences using storytelling techniques and visual aids.
- Ensure safety, manage crowd flow, and follow emergency procedures.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, respond to questions, and resolve issues promptly.
- Coordinate with operations for ticketing, pickups/drop-offs, and logistical needs.
- Gather guest feedback and contribute to ongoing tour quality improvements.
- Promote additional experiences and private tours when appropriate to enhance guest satisfaction.
What we look for
Energetic, articulate communicators with a passion for London and people. Prior guiding or hospitality experience is preferred, but training is provided for strong candidates.

Qualification
- Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of professional tour guiding or hospitality experience in a city setting.
- Strong knowledge of London history, culture, landmarks, and local anecdotes.
- Exceptional storytelling ability, public speaking, and classroom-friendly presentation skills.
- Outstanding customer service, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage audiences of varied ages.
- Valid right-to-work in the UK and willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
- First aid certification and basic safety awareness; willingness to complete company training.
- Comfort with walking tours, weather conditions, and urban environments; a valid driving license is a plus for certain itineraries.
