Responsibility
- Lead engaging walking tours across London landmarks and neighborhoods, delivering accurate historical and cultural context.
- Adapt tours for different languages, ages, and group sizes while maintaining a high energy and engaging delivery.
- Prioritize guest safety, manage crowd flow, and respond calmly to emergencies or disruptions.
- Provide exceptional customer service, handle inquiries, and resolve issues on the spot.
- Collaborate with operations to coordinate schedules, routes, and logistical details.
- Record feedback and contribute to continuous improvement of tours and itineraries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local attractions, regulations, and seasonal offerings.
Qualification
- Excellent verbal and storytelling skills with native or near-native English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
- Proven guiding experience in London or a major city; prior employment with a tour operator is preferred.
- Valid guiding qualification or certification recognized in London or equivalent credentials such as Blue Badge or Local Guide.
- Strong customer service orientation, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability.
- Physical stamina to walk 2-4 miles and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain one; basic safety awareness.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts; reliable transportation to meeting points.
