Responsibility
- Conduct engaging city tours for diverse groups, ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations.
- Share accurate historical anecdotes and contextual information about architecture, music, cuisine, and culture.
- Adapt tours for different languages and knowledge levels; deliver in clear, engaging language.
- Manage guest inquiries, handle challenging situations, and maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with operations to plan route logistics, timetables, and vehicle logistics when needed.
- Upsell premium experiences, private tours, and special access events to interested guests.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local sites, renovations, and safety guidelines.
Qualification
- Fluent in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) are highly desirable.
- 1-3 years of tour guide or customer-facing experience.
- Excellent public speaking and storytelling abilities with a warm, approachable presence.
- Deep knowledge of New Orleans history, neighborhoods, and cultural landmarks.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (when tours involve transportation).
- Ability to manage groups of various sizes and provide an inclusive, safe experience; physical stamina for walking tours.
- First aid/CPR certification is a plus; strong customer service orientation.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
