Azure Trails Travel Group is seeking a results-driven Tourism Marketing Specialist to accelerate our Barcelona market growth. You will design and execute inbound and outbound campaigns that attract travelers, partners, and media attention. This is a premium, high-impact role ideal for a strategist who thrives in a fast-paced tourism environment.
In this role, you will partner with local hotels, tour operators, attractions, and DMOs to craft unforgettable itineraries and experiences. You will own content strategy across web, social, email, and paid channels, and you will use data to continually optimize performance, ROI, and guest satisfaction metrics.
Responsibility
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for the Barcelona tourism market.
- Create and manage multi-channel campaigns across web, social, email, and paid media to attract travelers and partners.
- Grow partnerships with hotels, attractions, DMO, and local operators to amplify reach and co-branded initiatives.
- Analyze campaign performance using analytics tools, report insights, and optimize ROI and guest acquisition costs.
- Own content creation and localization for Barcelona audiences, including site content, blogs, newsletters, and social posts.
- Plan, coordinate and execute events, fam trips, and influencer activations to boost brand awareness.
- Manage budgets, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations with vendors and partners.
- Ensure exceptional brand standards and consistent guest journey across all touchpoints.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Tourism, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in travel, tourism marketing, or hospitality, with a track record of growing campaigns in a European market.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools (Google Analytics/GA4, Google Ads, Meta Business Suite) and CRM systems.
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and project management skills; data-driven decision-maker.
- Fluent in English and Spanish; knowledge of Catalan is a plus; ability to work across cultures.
- Willingness to travel within the region and adaptable to a dynamic touristic environment.
- Experience with CMS (WordPress) and content localization; ability to manage marketing calendars and schedules.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
