We are seeking a Translation Specialist fluent in German and English to translate, localize, and QA content across marketing, product, and legal domains. As a Translation Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain style guides, and ensure consistency across all deliverables.
Responsibility
- Translate and localize content between German and English, preserving tone, nuance, and brand voice.
- Adopt and extend terminology management using approved glossaries and style guides.
- Produce high-quality translations for marketing, product, legal, and customer communications.
- Review and edit translations from colleagues to ensure accuracy and fluency.
- Use CAT tools (MemoQ, SDL Trados Studio, Memsource) to manage translation memories and terminology databases.
- Perform linguistic QA, formatting checks, and final proofreading before delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and maintain brand consistency.
- Contribute to process improvements, glossary updates, and localization best practices.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
- Native or near-native proficiency in German and English with exceptional writing and editing skills.
- 3+ years of professional translation/localization experience in a corporate or agency setting.
- Proficiency with CAT tools (MemoQ, SDL Trados Studio, Memsource) and terminology management.
- Strong research skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to different voice and style guidelines.
- Experience with QA processes, proofreading, and final delivery quality checks.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines; excellent time management and communication.
- Remote-friendly or hybrid work setup; willingness to collaborate with a distributed team.
