This role combines linguistic excellence with cultural nuance to ensure client content reads naturally in the target language. You will collaborate with project managers, editors, and a global pool of linguists to maintain style guides, glossary terms, and consistency across projects.
Responsibility
- Translate and localize documents from source languages to target language with high accuracy and fluency.
- Maintain and apply terminology glossaries and style guides to ensure consistency across projects.
- Edit and proofread translations for grammar, punctuation, and cultural appropriateness.
- Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines and manage workload efficiently.
- Conduct terminology research and query unresolved terms to linguistic leads when necessary.
- Assist in building and updating translation memories and CAT tools workflows.
- Provide quality assurance checks and participate in post-release reviews to capture improvements.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Native or near-native proficiency in at least one target language and strong command of English.
- 3+ years of professional translation experience, preferably in a media, legal, or technical domain.
- Proficiency with CAT tools (eg SDL Trados Studio, Memsource) and translation memories.
- Excellent research skills and ability to verify terminology across domains.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and teamwork mindset.
