Responsibility
- Develop and optimize transportation networks, routes, and schedules to improve reliability and reduce costs.
- Analyze traffic patterns, demand forecasting, capacity planning, and performance metrics using GIS and analytical tools.
- Model transportation scenarios to inform capital investments and service changes.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and external agencies to align plans with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present performance reports, dashboards, and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Lead data quality initiatives and maintain accurate transportation datasets.
- Support sustainability and environmental objectives through efficient routing and modal shift strategies.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, or logistics.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and data analysis languages (Excel, SQL, Python).
- Experience with transportation planning software (e.g., VISUM, TransCAD, Aimsun) and modeling tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards relevant to transportation.
