PulseTransit Solutions is seeking a results-driven Transportation Planner to join our team in Los Angeles. You will design efficient, sustainable transit and freight networks, leverage data analytics, and collaborate with city agencies, operators, and stakeholders. Responsibility
- Conduct transportation planning analyses to improve mobility, safety, and environmental outcomes across corridors and hubs.
- Develop and maintain travel demand models and GIS-based networks for road, transit, and freight.
- Collaborate with city agencies, operators, and community stakeholders to design and implement effective transportation projects.
- Lead data-driven optimization of routes, schedules, and traffic flow to enhance service reliability.
- Prepare grant proposals, technical reports, and stakeholder presentations to secure funding and buy-in.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables; track milestones and risks across multiple workstreams.
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare policy guidance to support sustainable mobility goals.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Transportation, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in transportation planning, mobility analytics, or related roles.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS or QGIS), SQL, and Python or R; experience with travel demand models is a plus.
- Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations and presentations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of transportation planning principles, policies, funding sources (FTA/Caltrans), and regulatory considerations.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and project management methodologies.
