Responsibility
- Conduct transportation demand forecasting and travel pattern analysis using GIS and traffic models to inform planning decisions.
- Develop and evaluate multimodal transportation plans (pedestrian, cycling, transit, and vehicle) aligned with city goals.
- Collaborate with city agencies, developers, and community groups to collect input and secure buy-in for projects.
- Prepare feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and implementation roadmaps for transportation initiatives.
- Manage data collection, quality control, and reporting for performance metrics and funding applications.
- Lead project coordination, timelines, and stakeholder communications across cross-functional teams.
- Monitor policy changes, funding opportunities, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and maximize impact.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in urban planning, civil engineering, geography, or related field; master's preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation planning or related field.
- Proficiency with GIS (ArcGIS, QGIS) and traffic modeling tools (VISSIM, Aimsun) or equivalent open-source options.
- Strong data analysis skills (SQL, Excel, Python or R) and experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of federal and local transportation policies, funding programs, and grant management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a collaborative environment.
