Responsibility
- Perform road-worthiness inspections on passenger cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles in accordance with LTA standards.
- Verify vehicle documentation, including ownership and repair history, and assess compliance with mechanical, electrical, and safety requirements.
- Conduct pre-inspection checks of tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and safety during assessments.
- Prepare clear, concise inspection reports with photographic evidence and recommended actions, and submit to the relevant authorities and internal teams.
- Communicate inspection results to vehicle owners and workshop personnel and provide guidance on corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, log results, and assist with monthly audits and quality control processes.
- Uphold safety policies and maintain a clean, organized inspection bay to promote a safe working environment.
Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or apprenticeship training in vehicle maintenance is preferred.
- Previous experience in vehicle inspection, mechanical diagnostics, or a related field is advantageous.
- Familiarity with LTA vehicle standards and road-worthiness criteria; ability to interpret inspection guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and excellent decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to explain findings to customers and colleagues clearly.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with reporting software or electronic inspection logs.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning; willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid safety certifications or training in basic first aid or occupational safety are a plus.
