Job description

NovaWave Media is seeking a highly organized Video Producer to lead end-to-end production of compelling fiction, documentary, and branded content. This role blends storytelling, logistics, and technical oversight to deliver exceptional work on schedule and on budget. Based in Los Angeles, the producer will collaborate with directors, writers, editors, and clients to translate concepts into polished screen content.

As a key member of the production team, you’ll drive pre-production planning, on-set coordination, and post-production handoffs, while ensuring safety, efficiency, and creative quality at every stage.

Responsibility

  • Lead planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation for video projects.
  • Coordinate across departments (creative, production, post) to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Oversee pre-production, on-set management, and post-production workflows.
  • Manage vendor relations, location scouting, permits, and equipment logistics.
  • Collaborate with directors and writers to shape concept-to-screen execution.
  • Maintain production documentation, risk management, and safety compliance.
  • Monitor quality control, color, audio, and final deliverables for all outputs.
  • Track project budgets and provide regular status reporting to stakeholders.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of hands-on video production experience, preferably in the Los Angeles market.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and under tight deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of production software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve); experience with storyboards and shot lists.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, contracts, location scouting, permits, and crew management.
  • On-set experience and safety compliance; ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Portfolio or reel demonstrating high-quality video production work.
