GreenWave Environmental Solutions is a leading provider of sustainable waste management programs for municipal and commercial clients. Weâre seeking a resultsâdriven Waste Program Manager to join our Denver team and oversee waste reduction initiatives, regulatory compliance, and program optimization.
In this role, you will partner with clients to design and implement comprehensive waste management plans, manage budgets, and lead crossâfunctional teams to improve diversion rates and reduce operational costs. Responsibility
- Lead development and execution of waste management programs for municipal and commercial clients, driving reductions in waste sent to landfills.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (RCRA, DOT, OSHA, and state-specific rules).
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics.
- Analyze waste streams data, identify diversion opportunities, and implement effective treatment and recycling strategies.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, procurement, and client stakeholders to optimize programs.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and regulatory submissions for clients and authorities.
- Support business development by contributing to proposals, scope definitions, and client conversations.
- Mentor junior staff and promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; masterâs degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in waste management or environmental services; municipal or industrial sector experience is a strong plus.
- Strong knowledge of waste regulations (RCRA, DOT HazMat, state and local rules) and compliance practices.
- Proven program management skills with experience managing budgets, schedules, and cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel, Tableau) and GIS; ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 25% as needed; valid driverâs license.
