Join AquaNova Utilities, a premier partner in sustainable water and sanitation solutions across East Africa. We are seeking a results-driven Water and Sanitation Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of critical water and wastewater systems in Nairobi and surrounding regions.
In this role, you will drive projects from concept to commissioning, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with communities, government agencies, and contractors to deliver reliable, affordable water services.

Responsibility
- Lead the design and implementation of water supply and wastewater treatment systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and sustainability.
- Perform hydrological assessments, hydraulic modeling, and feasibility studies to support project decisions.
- Manage project lifecycle from concept to commissioning, including timelines and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with national and international water quality standards, permits, and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate with government agencies, utilities, contractors, and communities to align on objectives and deliverables.
- Develop operation and maintenance manuals and deliver training programs for operations staff.
- Monitor project performance through KPIs, data analytics, and regular reporting to stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering; Master’s preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in water supply, sanitation, or WASH projects in developing contexts.
- Professional Engineer licensure or equivalent (e.g., PE) or demonstrated eligibility in Kenya.
- Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software (EPANET, HEC-RAS) and design tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit).
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan regulations and WASREB standards, drinking water quality guidelines, and environmental safeguards.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and report-writing skills.
- Proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams across design and construction phases.
