Responsibility
- Lead end-to-end management of water supply and sanitation projects from needs assessment to handover to communities.
- Develop robust project plans, budgets, schedules, and monitoring & evaluation frameworks to track outcomes and impact.
- Coordinate with local government, community groups, and partners to secure buy-in and ensure ownership of solutions.
- Oversee procurement, contractor management, and compliance with donor requirements and quality standards.
- Implement data collection systems, produce timely reports, and contribute to grant applications and donor communications.
- Design and deliver capacity-building trainings for communities and field staff on WASH practices, operation, and maintenance.
- Promote water quality testing, sanitation facilities maintenance, and hygiene promotion to sustain health gains.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, public health, environmental engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in WASH project management, preferably with donor-funded programs.
- Strong knowledge of water supply technologies, sanitation solutions, and hygiene promotion strategies.
- Proven ability to design and monitor M&E frameworks, analyze data, and report impact effectively.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with experience liaising with government agencies, communities, and partners.
- Ability to travel to field sites, work in challenging environments, and manage multiple priorities.
- Professional certifications in WASH or project management are a plus.
