Join AquaNova Solutions as a Water & Sanitation Project Engineer to lead multi-disciplinary initiatives that improve access to safe drinking water and sanitation services in urban and peri-urban communities. You will design, supervise, and monitor water supply, wastewater, and hygiene projects in collaboration with government agencies, donors, and communities. Responsibility
- Lead design, procurement, and implementation of water supply and sanitation projects from concept through commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and risk mitigation plans.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, communities, and government agencies to ensure quality and compliance.
- Supervise field teams, monitor construction activities, and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
- Establish robust monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems with clear KPIs and regular donor reporting.
- Build local capacity for operation, maintenance, and governance to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Engage communities to promote hygiene practices and equitable access to WASH services.
Qualification
- BSc in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, or a related field; MSc preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in water and sanitation projects; donor-funded program experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of WASH standards and guidelines (WHO/UNICEF JMP, national regulations).
- Project management skills with ability to manage budgets and schedules; certification such as PMP a plus.
- Proficiency in design and analytical tools (AutoCAD, EPANET, GIS) and data-driven reporting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to field sites and work in challenging environments.
