In this role you will weld, assemble, and fabricate metal components for vehicle body kits, cargo bodies, and related structures that meet strict safety and quality guidelines. You will work with sheet metal, tubes, and other materials, performing MIG and TIG welding, cutting, bending, and finishing to tight tolerances. Responsibility
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly of car body components.
- Set up, operate, and maintain MIG and TIG welding equipment and related hand tools to produce high-quality welds.
- Weld sheet metal and structural members for automotive bodywork with strict adherence to tolerances and specifications.
- Pre-fit parts, assemble subassemblies, and perform finishing operations such as grinding and deburring.
- Inspect welds visually and with basic metrology tools to ensure strength, porosity, and cleanliness.
- Collaborate with engineers and fabrication teams to optimize processes and resolve production issues.
- Follow safety protocols, wear PPE, and maintain a clean, organized workspace according to company standards.
Qualification
- High school diploma or vocational certificate; minimum 2-3 years of welding experience in manufacturing or automotive bodywork.
- Proficient in MIG and TIG welding; basic arc welding knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld maps, and engineering drawings.
- Strong eye for detail, steady hand, and quality-focused mindset.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for welding and metal fabrication.
- Team player with good communication skills and willingness to learn and adapt.
- Willingness to work in shifts and meet production deadlines.
